This Refund Policy describes the narrow circumstances under which Aminopeptides will consider replacement, store credit, or a refund, and the documentation we require in order to evaluate any such request. All sales by Aminopeptides are final at the moment payment is confirmed. The exceptions described below are limited, conditional, and granted at the sole discretion of Aminopeptides.
Research-Use Disclaimer
All products sold by Aminopeptides are supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory and research purposes. They are not intended for human or veterinary consumption and have not been approved by Health Canada for therapeutic, diagnostic, or cosmetic use. Refund eligibility, where granted, is evaluated solely against the physical condition of the product as shipped — not against any outcome, observation, or experience derived from research use of the product after delivery.
All Sales Are Final
Once an Interac e-Transfer has been received and applied to your order, the order is final. We do not accept order cancellations, order modifications, product swaps, address changes after dispatch, or change-of-mind returns. Customers should review their cart, peptide selection, milligram quantities, shipping address, and contact information carefully before submitting payment.
The Seventy-Two Hour Damage and Defect Window
If your parcel arrives with visible physical damage to the outer packaging, with one or more vials broken, leaking, or visibly compromised, or if the product you received does not match the product listed on your packing slip, you must notify Aminopeptides within seventy-two (72) hours of the delivery timestamp recorded by Canada Post. Reports submitted after the 72-hour window will not be eligible for any remedy, regardless of the underlying cause.
To open a damage or defect claim, send an email to aminopeptides1@gmail.com with the subject line “Damage Claim — Order #[your order number]” and include the following:
- Your order number exactly as it appears on the order-confirmation email
- The Canada Post tracking number for the affected shipment
- Clear, well-lit photographs of the outer shipping box, including any visible damage, dents, punctures, or moisture
- Clear photographs of the inner packaging and dunnage as it was when you opened the parcel
- Clear photographs of the affected vial or vials, including any breakage, leakage, label damage, or seal compromise
- A short written description of what you observed when you opened the parcel
Claims missing any of these elements will be held until the missing documentation is supplied; the 72-hour reporting clock continues to run regardless of when supporting materials are submitted, so we encourage customers to send a complete claim in a single email.
Resolution Process and Discretion
Once a complete claim is received, Aminopeptides will acknowledge it within two business days and will issue a determination within seven business days. Eligible remedies include, in our sole discretion, replacement of the affected product, store credit of equivalent value, or a refund to the original method of payment. The choice of remedy rests with Aminopeptides and not with the customer. We do not guarantee any specific remedy and reserve the right to decline a claim in full where the documentation does not support the alleged condition or where the claim falls within an excluded category below. [LAWYER REVIEW REQUIRED] Counsel should confirm that the discretionary-remedy framing is enforceable under the Ontario Sale of Goods Act and the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
Excluded Circumstances
Aminopeptides does not consider replacement, credit, or refund requests in the following situations. This list is illustrative rather than exhaustive.
- Damage, degradation, or loss of potency caused by the customer’s storage, handling, reconstitution, or transport after delivery
- Reconstitution errors, dosing miscalculations, or incompatibility with bacteriostatic water or other diluents not supplied by Aminopeptides
- Change of mind, no-longer-needed orders, duplicate orders placed in error, or dissatisfaction with the appearance, colour, or texture of the lyophilized product where the product remains within normal manufacturing tolerances
- Outcomes, observations, or experiences derived from research use of the product, given the research-use-only nature of every item we sell
- Parcels marked delivered by Canada Post that the customer subsequently reports as missing, stolen, or misdelivered after delivery (see the Shipping Policy)
- Address errors, incomplete addresses, or refused deliveries attributable to the customer
- Damage reports submitted outside the 72-hour window
- Any product that has been opened, reconstituted, partially used, transferred between containers, or otherwise altered from its as-shipped condition
Return Shipping Not Accepted
Aminopeptides does not accept physical returns of product. Owing to the nature of research peptides — their sensitivity to temperature, light, and handling — we cannot verify the chain of custody of any product that has left our facility, and we will not re-introduce returned product into inventory. Do not ship product back to us. Any parcel returned to our address without prior written authorization will be refused or destroyed and will not generate a refund or credit.
Wholesale and Bulk Orders
Wholesale and bulk orders may be subject to additional or alternative terms set out in the wholesale agreement signed at the time the wholesale relationship is established. Where the wholesale agreement and this Refund Policy conflict, the wholesale agreement governs for that customer. Payment Surcharge Refunds
Where a refund is granted, the five-dollar ($5.00 CAD) Interac e-Transfer surcharge is refunded only when the underlying issue was caused by Aminopeptides — for example, a fulfillment error or a confirmed in-transit damage event. Surcharges are not refunded on partial refunds where the balance of the order ships normally.
